Review of Suite at Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra

I did the booking of Suite at Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra on Feb-24-2017 by thinking that suite will look something like -

But, what I got is beyond my imagination. When I walked into Spiritual Growth Centre, I found the place very peaceful.

There was no one at the reception. House cleaning staff did the formality and took us to Suite. When we saw Suite, it was like What. Is it what you call it a Suite. See below images -

I am really surprised to find out that it is not a suite. It's a two-bedroom set with kitchen. I am really shocked.

In addition to this, there was no canteen and no room service facility. We have to go outside to have a single tea. Room was not clean, water pressure in bathroom was very low. We have to get our rooms cleaned and did water pressure issue resolved to a certain extent.

If anybody is looking to book suite at Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra, please look above images and decide yourself. It will be better if you book it at some other hotels. I advise everyone not to book so-called Suite at Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra.

1) Visit https://www.maavaishnodevi.org/ and create an account and do helicopter booking

2) If helicopter booking is not available online, then don't worry. When you reach Katra, go to Niharika Complex which is located near Bus Stand of Katra. You can do helicopter booking by showing your yatra slip at Heli-ticket Counter, Niharika Complex. Remember, there is no confirmation that you will get booking. It will be booked only if there is any seat available in Global Vectra and Himalayan.

3)  You can try your luck by going to helipad directly. There is a chance that you might get tickets available at counters of Global Vectra and Himalayan. Sometimes, you can avail tickets by paying directly to them.

It was my first visit to Lemon Tree Hotel at Katra. I researched lot of hotels online and found this hotel my destination holiday hotel. Online tariff of Lemon Tree hotel was very high at most of travel portals. Therefore, I dedicated to contact their corporate office reservation center by dialing 011-46050101. Customer care was very gentle and offered 15-15% discount, since I was a new customer. Finally, I booked Executive Room at Lemon Tree Hotel on Feb-23-2017.

Hotel Stay Experience

Lemon Tree Hotel was situated near Katra Railway Station. Lemon Tree Hotel was beautiful from the exterior and even from interior. When we reached the hotel by taxi, nobody reached to pick us and our luggage. After sometime, hotel staff comes and pick our luggage. Hotel staff at the reception did the formality by verifying our booking and verification. They allotted a room no. 509 at the 3rd floor. Finally, we moved into our room no. 509.

At the first glance, room was quite good, but not we expected. Room was not large, even though we booked Executive Room. Room was not cleaned, which we get it cleaned. There was a round table with two chairs only. Table was too small that we can't place 3-4 food items on it. See below the image of round table -

Can you eat anything on this small table? I think nobody can order 3-4 items. I asked Housekeeping staff to replace it with big table. They said that they have such table in all rooms. We can't do anything into this.

There was no stool placed near mirror to get ready. See below the image -

Even, attached bathroom and toilet was very small. It was not upto the standard of Lemon Tree hotel.

Overall, I would rate our stay at Lemon Tree Hotel, Katra as an average.

Food Quality at Lemon Tree, Katra

Food was delicious which we ordered at our room. Lemon Citrus is the place where we had our dinner and breakfast. Food was prepared very well and serving staff at Lemon Citrus was very generous and gentle. All our anger goes out when we had their delicious food. It was our second trip to visit Vaishnao Devi at Katra, but we had never such good food. We all were very satisfied with food.
